Flea Markets and Swap Shops: Considered mini home shows, these markets can provide that face to face meeting you want for a fraction of the cost. The challenge lies in making sure you have the right people attending these shows. The best way to determine this is to visit these markets and check the following:
- What types of businesses are advertising there currently. If you see high dollar items (i.e. spas, antiques, etc.), speak with the booth attendant and ask how long they’ve been advertising at the market. If they have been there continuously for an extended period of time, set up shop, you’ll get the right people.
Marriage mail packages: Val Pak and RSVP are two of the leading marriage mail companies
Take One Displays: Place these brochure holders in stores where people shop for home improvement products (i.e. hardware stores, lumber stores, landscaping stores, etc.) or in stores where people wait briefly for their services (i.e. barber shops, car washes, etc.). CTI Dealers normally pay the store owner a 1% override on any jobs sold from these displays. This is tracked by marking all brochures in a particular stores display with a number that denotes that particular store (i.e. 5 = Harry’s hardware store). An effective take one display will generate 1-2 leads per month per display.
Flyer neighborhoods where you currently have work down: A neighborhood is one of the best places to create a “buzz” about the product. When you have a couple of jobs down, use the CTI Door hanger or a brochure that tells the customer where you can see the work down. Many Dealers are taking advantage of the Navigator software and taking photos of the homes in the area, taking them back to the office and creating a new look for the customer’s driveway along with putting their name and phone number of the flyer and dropping it off for the customer.
Paid Customer Referrals: If you have a satisfied customer, they offer a great way to continually market your services. CTI Dealers offer homeowners $25-$50 for any referral that becomes a customer.
